Nice effect but thats not what im looking for :-(, www.designsbymark had a tutorial on this but its no longer online :-S

Well.....the image you posted is an animated .GIF, which has nothing to do with Flash.

Either search the FAQ (link up there^) for .GIF animations or check out some of the other flash tutorials at the GN.

Not sure what you're asking......how to animate an image, or how to make the 'sheen' in particular.

im not sure if you can create that as a realtime blending effect in flash like this, but i may be wrong. steve or fig will probably teach me.

but im pretty sure if there is this effect, it is probably closely done like in the tutorial i linked.

heres a link that buttons with the effect i want, i know how its done but cant get to look like this... either i make it too transparent too solid.... dunno whats wrong
