I have downloaded the new version of the macromedia suite including the new version of flash mx 2004 pro... it is a little different from the previous version. i was wondering if any one could direct me to a place where i could find a tutorial that i could download if possible in video format. if not could you direct me to somewhere i can look up tutorials that are rather easy. a problem that i have is i create and animation inside a movie clip (for example a rollover menu) and i am trying to make it so when i click on the buttons in the movie clip it will go to either somewhere in the first scene of the time line like a frame label or the 2nd scene of the time line. it will only do things that are in the time line of that movie clip...you help will be much appreciated

Hustluz, the flash help files (actionscript dictionary) contain a lot of the information you are looking for.

If you read up about "gotoAndPlay()" and "_parent" you should be able to find a solution to your problem quite quickly. I'd also recommend getting used to using the flash help files as you'll often find solutions there much quicker than you will searching online.

If that fails then try www.actionscript.org -- not exactly for Flash MX 2004 but most of the Flash5+ actionscript is still usable in MX 2004. The tutorials there are well structured and start at a very simple level.
