I know you probably guys get a lot of these messages, with this kind of topic
I ended here because i kinda know my way around photoshop and i want to see how would some textures look on some objects.
So how do i apply a texture to an object created in maya...
If anyone cares to answers this perfect newbie question please put the answer in the classical tutorial style : Edit>Duplicate>... and so on.

Open up a new browser window>>go to http://www.3dcafe.com>>look at their tutorials, they have just about everything the beginner needs to know.

but i must add that if you are new to 3D, then you really should start out with a lower-end program, like blender or something, then move up onto the big-toys.
