Ok I have searched the Ozone archives for information about shopping carts and CC transactions and I have found a lot! My question[s]: |

Naw, this is Server-Side stuff. I have never rolled my own before, but I was going to start to do something a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away in VB. Never even got off the ground |

Thumper: I'm not clear on what you are looking for. A fully integrated shopping cart system will probably cost you quite a bit of money. If you are looking to do it yourself then have a look at something like this: |

On a related topic, I would like to try and roll my own as well. What I am really struggling with is finding a good e-commerce (it doesn't even have to involve shopping carts right off) idea that involves accepting credit card orders, but does not involve inventory or much work from me (implementing the store can take all the work it takes, but actually running the store I would love to be simple and mostly automatable). |

Well actually I work with a partner that does most of the coding we do (Red Ninja). Although his php knowledge base far surpasses my own, we still need some direction on the issue in terms of low cost, and ease of implementation. I have scraped the barrel at Hotscripts and have found much there too. My main concern is finding something out there that works well based on a few Ozoners having used it. I think, in all, I'm looking for an "I've used it and it works great" testimonial from someone who knows what's involved. |

Thumper: I suppose by 'homework' I meant get a grasp of the fundamentals before attempting to take on something like this. Have a crack at the GN tutorials in this area and then have a look at relevant ones at DevShed - they have a lot of good stuff there. |

Actually I used PHPshop to great success but it is a bit to get it designed nicely. |
