Alright I am using phpMyAdmin for a mySQL shopping cart. How in the living hell do you change permissions on, say, a directory that I can upload images to. Tables are all in...just lost here! I want to have these permissions applied to the directory only and not the entire database. WHA!?!? Any help for a dude that does not push lines?

BTW I am getting the error that I cannot write to the directory...

So, you will have to either use an FTP client which chmod capabilities or telnet in. If you are in a control group with permissions over the file then you should be set.

What I reccomend is that you telnet into your server and type "man chmod" this will give you all the information you need. You will need to enable read and write permissions on the folder.
