I've just installed apache 2.0 on a windows 98 machine and when I try to "start apache in console" I get the following illegal operation:

APACHE caused an invalid page fault in
module LIBHTTPD.DLL at 0167:6ff18a08.

I though apache2 didn't run on windows 98, that might be your problem.

I couldn't get it working on Win98SE, I didn't try that hard because it just ended up as a big mess, so I got PHPDev, and was very happy with 1.3whatever, for testing purposes at least.
