Hi, Im having some hassles with phpdev. I install it then run the bat file for xp, which starts apache etc and opens the browser at localhost. It cant see the localhost (ie tries to go online). i have checked the httpd.conf file the documentroot etc point to a valid directory as it should as they are set by the installation. Can someone give me a 'check list' of things to try and solve this problem? Thanks. |

If I run the XP bat file my browser is started at localhost but a bit too soon I think because I get the "The page cannot be displayed" error. In my case I just have to hit the refresh button to see the correct localhost page... |

Well technically that IE want's to go "online" is actually quite correct... Even if online happens to be locally on your computer. |

this could also be a proxy problem - do you have proxies configured for your IE? |
