I'm not saying that my way is THE way..but let's think of branding in the long run. A logo should be something that can be reproduced in one or two colours, easily recognizable, simple, and cohesive. Any sort of layer effects, bevelling, lighting tricks etc. should be able to be broken down and degrade well shade by shade. This shouldn't be an attempt to "show what I can do to put a shine on this lettering." It's nice work..honestly..good use of layers, shapes, and depth..but the simplicity is taking a beating. Remember that someday you might want PSPONG letterhead (uh...sure) and with that in mind, it should be cheap to print, and fit a nice vector format eeeeeasily. Keep going with the ideas, I think they're looking good..but drop the need to "trick out" your shapes...let them have strength and presence by themselves first. :) Loading...
