Topic: No GD library (Page 1 of 1)

Ok - I forgot who asked me about this. I'm a little lethargic after some surgery.

Anyways, we can't put the GD library on the server that's going to host PSPONG right now. That server is a production server that another client has asked us not to change the configuration of.

So for now, no GD image mangling. Later this year, if this thing takes off, we'll move it to a dedicated server and go from there.

Well...... netPBM it is then. We'd kinda anticipated this and have a plan B, of sorts. netPBM won't bother your system conf as it (each module) hangs loose on our bit of the tree.

There are some 220 programmes/modules - I have about 10 or so usefuls zipped here if you'd like to check it over - make sure its kosher.

Its good stuff, but if anyone here has an alternative (or three) we'd really like to hear from you =)

Thanks for the offer of space but it is all on the PSPong site tucked away in a little space for testing - the only problem is the lack of GD and Weadah was already thinking ahead on that one and had a solution before we knew there was a problem!!
