A few days ago I got this e-mail from TP.

quote:
Hey Schitzoboy,
I've seen you're pretty interested in 'them' smilies/slimies/pongies...
Now, I'll be out of town for a week without a net connection, and I wondered
if you had interest in organizing a little competition for the future
PsPong.com
Slimies?
If you decide to organize this, it's a free hand for you, you choose them
(but please consider that they have to fit the style for PsPong. see
http://test.coonabibba.de/PsPong/index2.php),
you hand out the prize(es).
I thought about User ID 3 on PsPong.com or something along the line.
Mentioning in the credits for you is, of course, obligatory.
How does it sound?

Yours,
Tyberius Prime

So here we go I'll try to be as fair as possible when judging the submissions. The main thing I want to see is smilies that fit with the pong theme. The more emoticons you have the better too, but we can always add more to the winning set later if need be. We can maybe even change the color if pspong gets redesigned and they really really clash. Still check out the link and make smilies that try to fit with the feel of PSpong. A couple ideas I had were square smilies with pixelated faces that mimic the original pong game or maybe little ping pong ball faces. Be creative!!! Winner of course gets his smilies featured on the PSpong site. There really isn't a deadline yet. but at the most it'll probably be a month from now.

Oh, I know a lot of people don't visit this forum too often so be sure to get the attention of people who have smilie makin' skills. The more entries the better. Don't be afraid to submit more than one set as well. I'm lookin' forward to what you guys can come up with!

Cool, nice to see this things really rolling now .

I'd post some info in the photoshop forum as well as you said most people don't come this far down here, so get the word around with pixel gurus ( ) up in the PS forum. that way there will be more input on it. I did post in the silmies tutorial topic but I think people just by pasted that post.

I'll have a go at making some slimies soon, but I got a ton of things to do before I can play .
