A little pixelation (jaggies) on the background image, and the centers of the brackets look a little weird, but otherwise I like it.

I'm at 1280x1024 and I don't see the jaggies on th bg img but I will fix them. Thanks for the comment

No, just blurrier =) The jaggies problem had to do with the gif transparency, not the sharpness of the image.

The brackets still look the same. I'm referring to the vertical center, where there are two adjacent one-pixel lines, creating a thick two-pixel line. It doesn't look right.

Ok, I will look into it later.
