Thank you both for the input. I tried it animated and I didn't like how it turned out. File size was 40k+. It's not worth that. I'll probably put my name or a new moth silohuette on it as a reflection.

Hrrmm... my guess is that it's a moth... dunno, just a stab in the dark, there.

Now, what I would do is have the ball light up, and have that butterfly positioned on it. You know how winged bugs are attrackted to light, including moths.

Wolfen I like your idea. I'll give it a whirl but if the file size is too big then I won't use it.

The moth's looking good, it's a bit abstract, though. I love the pattern on the wings, and the color's great, too.

OlssonE, I wouldn't even try to do a zero gravity fire in a glass sphere. I may be slightly obsessive about making sigs but I'm no masochist. ...and only my wife is allowed to ask the first question.

I'm not a physics major or anything but to achieve zero gravity, except in the vomet comet or any other rapidly falling object which only mimics zero gravity, doesn't the lack of oxygen need to be present. Thus no oxygen = no fire so that image would be impossible to recreate. Just something to ponder and I'm sure that someone here will disprove my idea and even send me a link to verify it.

The lack of air does not need to be present for there to be zero gravity. Although a lack of gravity over time will lead to a lack of air as the air drifts away with nothing to hold it in place. You are kind of correct about the effect of zero gravity on fire. The lack of gravity prevents the formation of convection currents in the air. Hot air does not rise. Cold air does not fall. It is these currents that supply a fire with its supply of oxygen. A fire in zero gravity forms a sphere and ceases to burn once the oxygen in its boundaries has been consumed.

That one looks great. The edges need a little work, but otherwise, it's very sweet.

Yeah, I know about the edges. Forgot to set the correct matte after cleaning up the edges on the first post. Since the gif was meant totally in jest I havn't gotten around to fixing it.
