Correct me if I'm wrong but should this not be in the sig forum? |

I guess it depends on his intentions for it. Could be a sig, could be a button... |

OK, here it is with the gases idea, of course based on mahjqa's tutorials, although it was from the top of my head as i could not find the link, i think i got the idea though. |

The matting needs to be fixed on the Axle one. There is a definite line around it. I forgot to say in my earlier post that the glass and the edging are well done. I'm not sure about the gases idea. The idea has been done before. Docilebob's suggestion about bubbles is interesting. You may be about to use the texture filter at different settings to simulate the rise of the bubble to the surface. |

Bubbles sound like a great idea, but i guess i am goign to have to do some research and see if i can figure out how to make realistic bubbles that rise to the surface, i guess a side view would'nt be too bad, but i figure that a top view as they burst on the surface would look a bit beter. |

If you're going to go the bubbles route, though, you're going to have to rework the surface--right now it looks like convex glass, but if you want it to look like a lava pit I'd imagine you'd want it flat, and without and reflection. |
