The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

When you're looking at the PSD, take a look at the 'inner shadow' effect to see what that does. I tossed a hue/saturation layer over it all since I didn't like the magentaish hue the 'color dodge' mode gave to the blood. I think for more realistic blood you could turn the saturation and the brightness down a little.

Or to get this, use a gaussian blurred alpha channel, lighting effects (one broad light for hi/low, and a small spot for specualars)
then plastic wrap, Edit>>Fade>> Screen mode @ 60% opacity.
and a curves adjustment.

If you wanna make text heres an example:
http://www.icklepix.com/var/results.htm

I made this page for a CS clan for ideas for them, I made the blood-text titles on each section like so:

1.drew the text crappy with a mouse.
2.Threw a few extra blobs in
3.A little bit of smudge here and there.
4.Bevel and emboss with an odd curve
5.Then some more smudge

all with mouse to get a crude look to it.

play with glassy effects/tutorials, coz it looks more real/cool when its shiny.

But this doesnt help you when you wanna make it with bump masks, I reckon playing with lighting effects will get what your after, you'll want sharp highlights and blunt dark parts, and some randomness.

It's really hard to get that natural, sharp specular reflection of a true liquid .. My 20 minute attempt was a failure ... see ...

even with sharpening

Of course, there would be some reflection of the surroundings in a shiny liquid. Perhaps doing a displace, on a contrasty scene, using the blood shape as the displace map, on a layer above the blood, and then trying different layer blending methods and opacities to give just a hint of reflection ... and blood is thick, so the refracted text would be a lot fuzzier too ... I may try it out if I get any free time this weekend ..
