You can ignore this topic. I'm making it so that I can test a print style sheet for the forum.

New paragraph here.

Yup.

Actually, Slime is always permitted to mess with the asylum, that's how he became the first "Mad Scientist", way back in the early days of yore. (Probably worth an FAQ entry on that one, I'll try and remember to do that.)

Slime, if you need me to, I can go into the code and include 'class=...' attributes to the inserted code snippets that UBB creates. Let me know.

Your pal, -doc-

Mmm, yeah, I think I'm going to need you to add some IDs and classes in there, Doc. Let me look through the source and say what I need where...

First of all, in this (mad scientist) forum, put some sort of ID in the <center> tag that the image at the top is contained in. ("The Mad Scientists are your friends! Trust them, trust us..." - that image.)

Put an ID in the table tag that contains the big "ASYLUM" image, and another one in the TD that contains that image, and another one in the TD that contains all the text next to that image (the stuff like what forum you're in.)

Inside that TD I just mentioned, there are two sections of content: the part that tells you what forum you're in, and the part with the "post reply" link and the list of links below that. Put a SPAN tag around each part and give them both IDs. (You might want to use a DIV. Do whatever works best. There are actually some nested font tags there; if you can fix them so that they're not nested, then using those font tags might work too. Do whatever's easiest, just split that TD up into the two parts I mentioned.)

Following that is a table within a table (the inner table holds all the content, the outer table creates a thin orange line around it). Give each of those an ID.

For the two TD's with "Author" and "Topic: ..." in them, give them both IDs.

Following that are alternating TDs: give each TD with author's name and info a class (keep this class consistent for all of those TDs), and do the same for the TDs that contain what the author posted.

Within the TDs that contain content, there is the text "posted 05-25-2002 03:03 AM", followed by some images and an <HR>. Wrap the images and the <HR> within some sort of tag and give it a class. Maybe a span tag or something. Do whatever works; if this part isn't doable then that's OK.

After the content table, there's a whole bunch of random junk at the bottom of the page. Wrap this all inside a big div tag and give it an ID.

I hope doing all that doesn't mess up the way the forum looks. I imagine it will be a hassle to add all that. Do what you can when you can; no rush.
