I've just had a chat with db about archiving threads and it is currently a little difficult to work out what the new URL is. I know it is possible to reconstruct the new URL or search for it but if you archive a lot in a row neithe of these is very convenient. Would it be possible to have a link to the new URL on the thank you for archiving page? It seems the simplest solution and I don't think that it would be too difficult from a technical front. |

The choice to archive or to delete is generally up to the individual, but the usual tohught process is 'Does it have anything useful in it, or is it just a bitch session?' Some of the funnier nonsense threads, like the lock testers, are also archived. Really, you just have to think...would this be useful to anyone? |
