outcydr: Yes it probably does need more input (I'm sure there are plenty of interesting topics that could be included that don't - I've managed to cover the basics but anything more detailed is beyond what I can give to the project) but that is up to the good people here. Anyone can start an FAQ and/or add to one so it is just up to people to see a topic and think 'Hmmmmmm now that seems like a question that will come up again or might just be of general use to someone again' and start it. The minimum they really have to do is really just throw a link into an FAQ to start it off and then someone might come along and add some more and at a later it might be expanded again.

Because of my skill area I'm better at spotting what needs doing in the coding areas and its more than likely that great PS (and Flash, print and multimedia) stuff slips by without getting included which is a shame but its really up to everyone else.

All ideas welcome though........

just a thought, but the mods or even the regular posters/readers of the different forums are in a perfect position to spot these.

The classic example is the PShop forum, time and time again people are getting referred to the faq, or having links thrown at them.

If something new comes up, wouldnt it be a nice way of saying thanks,if ya were googling or came up with something based on someones help if you added it to the FAQ. (this is aimed at those recieving help)..

If you are a regular user and find something throw it in there it only takes a second or two.

That aside Emps or TP if you need a hand with it just holler, even if its just periodically mulling through it to check all links etc still work

tomeaglescz: Its not really a matter of giving people a holler every now and again its more about people getting into the habit of spotting something and thinking 'that would be useful in the FAQ'. Clearly it depends on their area of expertise but most of the regular users have an area or two in which they know enough to make that call

As I said once a FAQ is started other people tend to come along and nose through it and throw things in.

maybe it's just the nature of wiki to be a bit chaotic
