I was looking over some of the sample topics Beekay threw out and I found myself drooling just a bit.
But I can do non-religious topics too.

We could do some societal ones, like:

Drugs should be illegal or just de-criminalized?
Should suicide be a crime?
Welfare system in America and/or Europe hurts more than it helps?
Global warming.
... just to name a few.

Very easy call, actually. The referee is there to not only make sure things stay 'in bounds' (no coming up from the topic...i.e. hi-jacking, for example...) but also to regulate any 'disputes' or flame wars...and of course, to 'nudge' the debate along...if it looks as if it is getting bogged down...unless the debate has 'run it's worth' The ref could also 'keep score' such as 'ok, that's one point for Team Pro1, for example.

Or would you rather mod?

I think the drugs/legalization topic would be the easiest to have a formal debate about, seeing as how the peacepipe will surely be floating around. Teehee... beh.

But seriously, I didn't see anybody set the teams down in stone... do we have to few people? Too many? I may have just completely missed it, knowing me.
