An old No Means No song. Which is probably a band no one here has heard of, but should look into. Some others, if you care, are One Line Drawing, Boxcar Racer, Fugazi, NOFX. That about covers all the varieties of powerful music. True modern music of the heart. Blah.

See, that's what I thought, and I was really confused when people started talking about instruments.

If we're going for all-time favorite, I would have to go classical. Bach, to be specific, especially his organ works.

"Karn Evil No. 9 (First Impressions)", "Tocatta" (yes a cover), and "Tarkus" by Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and Robert Palmer are among my favorite instrumentals, nevermind they're all by the same group. "Pirates" is a good one too. "Hoedown" rocked.

Late 70's progressive rock, what can I say? I'm sure there are more, but I just can't think of anything outside of ELP at the moment... hehe. The Piano Solo on the Pure Moods CD was pretty good too.

Grrrr...this is one of the things I HATE!

People don't count the voice as an instrument. Well here's some news for you, it is the original instrument. The original reason for building other instruments was to try to simulate it or accompany it, in fact that's the specific reason for the violin and viola. So any music involving it is instrumental, so instrumental music is not non-vocal. I count instrumental music to be music which is focused upon a single instrument type, it can bne accompanied, but it is the main focus.

Arthemis: You didn't need to start a new thread to do this. You could have continued in your old thread saying 'No...that's not what I meant. Valid points though, but the original intention was blah, blah, blah...'
