Not to give you a hard time, tom, but merely to make a point... why is it so hard to believe in man's inhumanity to man when our history and everyday actions are riddled with it? What I find much harder to understand is faith in humanity. |

bugs, i agree with you in some ways, but i still cannot believe that someone could just leave the kid alone in the middle of the shop, anything could have happened. As you say luckilly in this case the kid is safe. I dread to think of what could have happened, It brought back memories of a time i "lost" my son for about 5 mins in a store, he walked off to look at something while i was signing my credit card slip. Those were the longest five minutes of my life. |

yeah emps, it was just starting to tick over went i was back in the UK on holliday, no systems perfect but at least there is a system that could have been turned to, this case was different, both cruel in the fact that an innocent life has been effected, but the kids in the states showed no signs of abuse in fact just the plain opposite. |

quote: What is better? What is wrong with the natural process? If one of us kills another male's children to favor our own, why is it wrong as opposed to making our genes dominant? Please explain what this higher level of behavior is basen upon. (the preceeding should not be taken as snide but as an honest challenge to the Materialist position) |
