Supporting the people who have to execute the decision to go to war is an absolutely seperate issue from supporting the adminstration who made that decision.

I'm so sick of the 'love it or leave it' mentality.

I love my country and all that it stands for.

I *hate* to see the things that it stand for denegraded by such moronic naziistic thought, and I hate for it's principles to be dragged through the mud by the people 'in charge' of it.

Perhaps *you* should go live in those countries so that you can get a more objective view of our governments actions...

I posted that in the same spirit as all the other political satire pics. The ones showing Dubya as the monkey come to mind. You know I'm not equating her with being a despot but perhaps it was in poor taste all the same.

I totally agree with DL and the first part of his post - NeutralZone, pull your head out. I, too, am sick and tired of hearing such crap, from idiots.

Supporting the troops, is different from criticizing an administration, or president (or both, as the case may be). NeutralZone, you need to get your facts staight on this, before you shoot your mouth off.

I am a veteran. I have served my country, both in peace-time, and in war. And I'm sick and tired of hearing such drivel out of the mouths of those who consider themselves patriotic just because they give their loyal support to and blindly following an administration or president...put your money where your mouth is, and stop the bull****! Patriotic is as DL so eloquently put it...in your country. To question is a required part of being Patriotic...not blindly following irregardless.

Sorry, but such general fire-starters are just that - flame topics.

Sick as much as you want. I love to live here even though some people like yourselves abusing the freedom of speech. I've learned enough of how the government in those countries. And definitely, I don't want our government to be like theirs (or maybe they should so you guys can stop bitching about our President). Here are something you guys should think about:

* Maybe you can live in palestine so your family can get $25K for being suiside-bomber killing many innocent lives.
* Go on the streets and see bunch of statues/pictures of dictator such as Iraq - that will cheer you up.
* The true "shutup-or-die" metaphor can be found in Iraq - don't even think about go on the post forums or walking on the streets with any sign that critisize Sadam's ways. We don't hae "shutup-or-die" here so don't abuse the freedom of speech.
* Regular people like us in those countries are being taught wrong.
* Have you heard about communism? Don't even bother to look up the dictionary for that term because what it said in dictionary is not even 1/4 of what it really is.
* Do you know why Sadam himself (and his family) is so rich? It's his empire guys - wake up. He took all the moneys - none what so ever that was spend for general public for education (real education - not Sadam's education).

All of the above lists are just part of what communism is.

* It's fine to critisize but just watch your mouth - don't be like that Dixie chick.
* There are a lot of things our goverment did not tell us (another word, I don't even think any of us understand the whole thing of why our government decided to go to war with Iraq) but I've questioned myself that the fate of our country is not in my hand so why should I be known about everything? I can't and not qualify to make any decission BUT our President and his cabinet could. So I figure, I just shutup and supporting the President's decision and pray for our soldiers to get home safely.

I read that yesterday morning. What I found funny was not what they were doing (I mean, c'mon...nude covers are so passe ), but that it was actually a 'top story' on the CNN website....

I hate it when people act like disagreeing with the war is disrespecting our troops. I would like our troops back home and safe as fast as possible. I also disagree with the war. They;re not the same thing.
