The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

I saw this guy once, I think it was on Ophra. He was talking about how when he died he felt the pain of everything he had ever killed or harmed. He was talking about how he was a fly that flew into his windshield, and he went through this over and over again with each thing he had ever stepped on, killed, or injured. And also, he said, he felt the pain of all the humans he had hurt. It was pretty interesting.

As you may have guessed by my sig, Taoism floats my boat. (Tao=The Way)
The thing that first impressed me with it was when reading the book "Tao Te Ching".In explanation It says
"The Tao that can be told, is not the eternal Tao".
Usually, the call from most belief systems is, that THEY have the way or the key (to happiness, heaven, eternal life ect) and it made a change for this one to say, in effect, "What I am about to say isn't exactly it"
Of course there is a lot more to it than that, but that got me started

..hmmmm but that is a link you posted yourself if I'm not wrong? Yes, after further reading, it maybe crap, but those beliefs and their persistance are interesting.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't really understand what your saying...sorry. Yea, it may have been a link I posted, but I don't remember saying it was crap? I'm just not sure exactly what you mean. But yea, it is very interesting. I have flown around a bit a few times.

One time, I went up above my bed, and I tried to get out the window, but I couldn't figure out how to go through the glass, and I just slowly went down into my body at which point I woke up, or rather...came out of the meditative state I was in.

Sanzen - where 45 minutes away? That only narrows it down somewhat...

The outcome of my dabbling is that I've determined that once you get past the dogma of specific religious beliefs, well, most religions are teaching the same things. Be good to yourself, be good to other people, be good to the environment - and you shall reap the rewards of such behavior.

The dogmas are there to focus your meditations/prayer. To give you structure, which allows you to put those teachings into a context.

However, I firmly believe that the life force (which I refer to myself as "The Force" - it just works, ok? ) exists, and can be tapped and manipulated in many ways to cause many different things, magic and astral travel being only 2 such possibilities. Dogmas are also very good at focusing your energy in order to produce such effects.

Uh... Did you mean GN, InI? Or did I get involved in this discussion without knowing it? Are you referencing things said elsewhere... I'm confused.

Sanzen - a little further than 45 minutes, but pretty dang close... Next time you're traveling through the Triad, give us a holler - we'll have coffee...

InI - The similarities between thought systems is something I've noticed for a long time. It seems like everyone agrees that there is something there, but no one can say precisely what that is. Every culture appears to have at least one way of accessing that other "reality". While the methods of tapping into that information differ, I don't think the source is any different.
I really enjoyed the premise of the original Matrix movie - it was very thought provoking. I'm looking forward to the second one, when I get a chance to go see it... The fact that there is some sort of "force" that manipulates this reality - whether it be natural, or supernatural is truly entrancing. Even the idea that it could be artificial is enough to set one's mind off on a round of tangents...

That would do it... There's that lovely stretch of highway between where 40/85 splits before Chapel Hill that goes for several miles without a cop in sight... On a good day, I can get through there in 20 minutes...
