ShakeurBom: The man in black? That was me. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I hope you weren't emotionally scarred by the incident or anything.

Seriously, though, I've had plenty of freaky stuff happen to me, but it's getting late, so I'm going to have to come back to this topic later.

Again, though, I'm a bit confused about what the topic title has to do with your question...

Yeah, I don't really get what you're asking either.

Are you asking about past lives, or are you asking about weirdos dressed in black who scare children?

.

So, suho...does that make you johnny cash??

this would explain why Suho and Johnny Cash are never seen at the same party.....

Damn, I should have figured this out a long time ago.

So Suho is the man in black? I'm not worthy.

ShakeurBom, I have never experienced either. No strange men in black during my childhood and zero evidence of any past lives.

Well, being the man in black myself, I was never really haunted by other men in black. Yes, there are other men in black, just like there are other Santa Clauses, but we pretty much stick to our own turf. Duels between men in black tend to get rather messy, though. When I came to Korea, for example, I had to defeat the local man in black or give up my title. When I was finished with him, the place looked and smelled worse than a barn full of kimchi in the hot summer sun.

I was tormented by a faceless man in my dreams, though. I would be lying in bed awake, and somewhere along the way I would fall asleep without realizing it. Then the faceless man would appear at my bedroom door and slowly approach me, and I would be unable to move or scream. I would push with all my might, but no sound or air would come out. I was always able to wake myself up, though, and would find myself screaming at the top of my lungs and drenched in sweat. This used to freak my parents out something fierce.

I've had a number of other freaky experiences, some of which I've shared in other threads here, but somehow I don't quite feel like sharing anything else today. Perhaps it is the trauma of finally being unmasked...

well actually ive had tons of weird things happen to me. too many to remember. most of em are very dumb and silly though. ill give a few.

one day i got 5 dollars for my birthday. i also got a book. so i put the 5 dollars inside the book, and set it on a shelf. when i woke up, i had a strange feeling my money was gone. so i looked in my book and it was gone. it was hiddin, so i was sure no one took it. several days later i was cleaning under my bed and there was my 5 dollars. it woulda been impossible to get from inside a book, on a shelf, under a shirt and other varous items, which was 5 feet away from my bed and uder it. i have no idea how it happened.

the other strange happenings.

every year my family goes up to trollhaugen ski area to go skiing. but for some reason every time i get back home from skiing, i feel very weird. its like im in shock or sumpin. i just stare straight ahead like a catatonic, and i cant remember anything, and everything looks very dark and dreary. then one day im normal. it happens every single time.

thats all for now.

Well, I'm not sure I remember this correctly but when I was around 8, one afternoon I could swear I saw the clouds open up and a bright light shine down on me, It was a very cloudy day, dark clouds. I told my classmates that I'd seen God and most of them just laughed at me, but somehow to this day I feel that I xperienced something really special, sort of a message of guidance from God. ~nway the details are quite sketchy~

To answer your question ShakeurBom, I do on very many occasions experience feelings of dejavu (sp), could be from a look, a feeling that I've been somewhere before and on very rare occasions, I can tell whats gonna happen next as 'I have been there before and it just a repeat performance for me'.
This makes me feel like maybe I could be living me next life (not that I believe in reincarnation) but some feelings are just too weird and coincidence is not usually solid explanation for me.

Well....
One time I was laying on the couch watching TV, and I was suddenly paralyzed.
There was a mirror next to the TV and I strained to look into it, and I saw in the
reflection a man sitting next to me with glasses. He had a beard and he just smiled
at me. Then suddenly I slowly rose up and started floating until I hit the roof. Then
I started floating towards the door, but decided my cousin would think it was wierd
if she saw me floating around, so I went back towards the couch and went back down
into my body. Then next thing I knew I was wide awake and I jumped up out of breath.

I have tons of interesting things like this that have happened, but I am sort of busy now.

Those dejavu trips are something to ponder. Think about it for those who have experienced it, is it a dream that took you into the future or was it just a dream about the future. The experiences I have had were exactly like the dream even down to the last thought as it was happening....like nothing you can think or do when it happens can alter the original dream. In a way like a perfect recording of that dream becoming reality. It usually consumes mes for hours trying to answer that question. Is this experiencing the future or just seeing it?,.. everything even down to the feelings and every last detail of the experience is a perfect mirror coming into reality....or could it be...................I was entering and exiting "The Twilight Zone"..... (insert music theme here on que.......1....2.....3)

DON'T try and adjust your monitor.......all your realities are now in the control of ................"The ASYLUM Group @ www.OzoneAsylum.num"

..Take your meds, sit back and enjoy the ride...and ask yourself these Q's.. .... "Why is my room so rubbery .....and can someone please remove the wires from my frontal lobe?",,, "Have I been here before?"

As much as I have desired to have unusual events like those described above happen in my life, nothing has ever happened that could not be explained by normal, everyday things... or just an older brother with a penchant for teasing his younger sisters!

All in all, my childhood was strange enough without the supernatural...

Scientifically documented, it's called "sleep paralysis"...

There's some other interesting things on that web page too...

Heh... I mentioned this in another P&S thread way back when... in Korea they call sleep paralysis gawi nullim. Don't try to look this up in a Korean-English dictionary, 'cause it will just say something along the lines of "have a nightmare[an incubus]" (apparently they don't know what an incubus is...). What it actually refers to, though, is sleep paralysis, and a literal translation would be "pressed down by a ghost." I saw a program on it on Korean television once, and it was really interesting. There was even a theory that connected underground flowing water with the phenomenon (ie, people are more prone to sleep paralysis if they sleep above an underground stream). It's actually related to feng shui (in a way).

Anyway, I just thought I'd mention that little cultural tidbit...

That's pretty interesting Suho... Would the underground water movement necessarily have to be a natural stream? Do you think that piped water in a city might cause the same effect? Of course, piped water has nothing to do with Feng Shui...

About the De'javu (sp) - has anyone ever been able to pre-empt the happenings by forcing an alternate interaction during the event?
I've experienced de'javu before (stab in the dark figure = bi-anually), always in the company of others; have been aware of what is about to happen, but for reasons unexplainable by myself, have been unable to alter or interfere with the events taking place. I've come to think of this as a pre-recorded moment of my life. Even though I'm fully aware of the future (all 5-10 seconds of it) I hold absolutely control of the direction in which it will take me. Could interferring with these events have severe consequences? Or, could it issue me the remote control so I can watch the whole movie...

One time I had a dream about being in a car crash on the highway and getting killed. To busy to go into details, but it was pretty realistic. Anyway, I saw this car driving real crazy one time, and then it wrecked and almost hit me, but I managed to swerve out of the way and it hit a bunch of other cars. I was the only car to make it through the pile-up. The dream and the accident were real similiar, except in real life I made it through. Well, back to the grind-stone.
