Topic awaiting preservation: Looking for quote

In this weekends paper an article (some sexual content):

Now my friends and I agreed this was just about the perfect description but I went to look where the quote came from and have drawn a blank (but searching Google for penis and handcuffs is eye opening - like the time I searched in Kazaa for the band Big Black). Does anyone know the source of this quote or the right quote or......

Is it not by Arabella Weir the name at the top of the article?

Xpirex: The article is by Arabella Weir but the quote "been handcuffed to a maniac" is ascribed to Kingsley Amis. I can't find the quote any where online (except for in that article) and only one or two quotes ascribed to Kingsley Amis at all.

Contacting her is not as easy as I thought it would be.. also asking the Guardian too as their contact link is not behaving as it should. But you got be bugging now Emps so I'm gonna try again later.

Ok an hour passed and I succeeded in mailing the editor with a request for info in that quote... let's see what happens.

Xpirex: i did check today's letters pages but they usually deal with the weekend magazine matters in the magazine so it might mean a weeks wait - I'm infintely patient........

The best source I found was This I only looked at the first two pages of quotations, there appeared to be more.

GD: Cheers - that was the only other result with some promise but the site seemed down. It appears to be actually talking about an episode of Pressgang (presumably the children's drama about running a small newspaper) where someone was actually handcuffed to a maniac
