The un-responsiveness of various agencies is also quite commonplace. Unless, of course, there isn't a real issue.....then they run right in and take a child away who shouldn't have been.... But, continuing the discussion, there was a pretty interesting (local) situation here in Vancouver a while ago: There was one case, where a kid was seized, but didn't want to go. They were reported by a neighbor, who was his mom 'slap' him outside after he cussed at her. The other was the CPA refusing to seize someone after they showed up at school with bruises and scars that were (evidently) the result of his dad beating him. Kinda sad, and it ended up like this: The kid who didn't want to go ended up in a foster home, and the other ran away and hasn't been heard from since. Yah, I wouldn't really count on the CPA or the police to do much (thats logical) about this issue. We (well, I, and many members of this board) live in America after all. She must be pretty tough though, to be able to beat someone up like that. You can see those Hulk Hogan muscles bulging under her shirt.
