When I open a PDF, is there any way I can find out the what its resolution is ? I can specify that while creating it but cannot seem to find out a way to tell the resolution after opening a PDF. Am a newbie to print so any suggestions would be great !

I am assuming you mean reading the resolution in Acrobat? Can't be done, although I cannot vouch for Version 6. But there are programs that will read all sorts of info from a PDF (resolution, colour space, etc) such as Pitstop or Quite a Box of Tricks.
