Topic: Idear...

Cool, a photography forum! It's about damned time.

I have an idea that's somewhat inspired by speed painting for this forum. It would give people a chance to show off old photos or provide ideas for new photos. It would also turn this place into a great opportunity for those looking for stock photos.

To start off the week someone suggests a topic or subject. Then, like speed painting, everyone posts their photos that relate to the topic. At the end of the week the person who chose that week's topic picks someone for the next week. Like speed painting, it wouldn't be a competition with a winner, just an opportunity to share. Also, at the end of the week we won't close the topic so people can still post new photos to the thread so the collections will keep growing.

How's that grab you? I'll go ahead and start one and see if there's any interest.

A couple more thoughts. As you can see I already started a thread for this week but I have a couple of questions on the guidelines:

1. Is 450 px or 40 mb reasonable or should we go lower for a "thumbnail limit?"
2. Should we start a thread or a FAQ where people give permission to use their photos (with acknowlegements of course) as stock photos? I don't mind if mine are used but I don't want to speak for anyone else.
3. Read the guidelines in the water thread and let me know if there's anything I missed or something that you want to add.
