Try to record elements of your daily life spontaneously, snapshots which capture who you are; carry your camera around with you everywhere* you go and just snap any tiny detail or event that you think represents you or your interests/preoccupations/fetishes. Most important things: (1) don't think too much and (2) experiment with composition - the most striking and unusual the better. Stylistically, it's a free-for-all (but no Photoshopping except for simple darkroom alterations!). Don't worry about camera settings, and all that - concentrate on capturing the moment.
