Topic: Another inmate with a new DC (Page 1 of 1)

After reading and replying to ruski's delight at getting a new DC, I found myself, the very next day, in a store, just lookin you understand, at the DC delights on offer...
You guessed it.....
Next thing I know I'm sitting in the corner of my cell with a users manual in one hand and a gorgeous Fuji S304 in the other
It's gonna take a bit of time to get used to it methinks so prepare yourselves for all the usual blunders a loonie makes who is delighted with his works of art and wants to share them with all his cellmates.
Erm that reminds me I can't remember the procedure for posting up pics here? I'll have a dig around the faq's to find out.

ello Ruski, ello asptamer,
I have been trying to come to terms with the settings on my DC to get a suitable image to use.
Also,,, being an innmate of very little brain, I have not been able to work out how to A) upload an image into my post, B) size restrictions and other conventions, C) using a thumbnail to link to a large image.
But U will be glad to know that I have saved my very first effort with a DC to show as soon as I can get my brain to work.

heh u need a host to put ur image to. geocities, or deviantart? (is that the name?) or some other server
then u click "UBB Code is ON link to ur left, and read how to creat links and links with images.

so do ppl create a thumbnail to show here and then link the thumnail to a larger image??
Are there any other conventions for showing images?

I'm just trying my first attempt at including a pic' here. This is also the first shot I took with my new DC. Exciting isn't it

I know the photo is not up to much but it is an example (if one were needed) of what a complete novice can do with a new camera. I literally took it out of the box put the batteries in pointed it out of the window and clicked.
I still haven't found any guidlines as to the size/dimensions acceptable here?
Whats the best method to display images.
I have searched around a bit for an answer but I must have missed it
