On another subject I've noticed that if I save a file in PS as jpeg and then try to upload it to geocities,, the upload always seem to fail. Then I renamed the file in the folder with the same name identical. and the upload works.? This has happened a few times.

yes and the sky is covered with clouds in NYC. out of luck again.

And I enjoy it like a baby on my building roof!

Got a pretty clear view of it here for the most part...the last part of it was obscured by clouds, but I got to see the about the 3/4 of the progression.

Anyone get any pictures?

No photos here, DL-44, it's still raining. there will be a couple of more oppotutnities this year though (depending where you live), I can't find the dates just now.

I saw bits and pieces of it between gaps in the clouds... Tried to get a few pictures with the camera I borrowed from the lab, no idea how they turned out (probably pretty bad), (computer's acting up, not letting me use the USB port)... I'll post the link here when I finally get them on a server.

Meant to post this a few days ago but got wrapped up in other stuff and forgot. The only shot I got between clouds. The bottom is actually partly obscured by clouds, hence the missing redness. Maybe next time. If it seems a little jpegish it's because its a big crop.

I always seem to hear about these things after they happen (except for the full lunar eclips some years back, that rocked). Is there a mailing list I can sign up to that'll let me know of events like this in advance?

Don't know of any mailing lists but here's a link to the low down for the rest of the year. There are two solar eclipses yet to come, one of them very soon if you're location is favorable (Most of Europe I think). One more lunar eclipse coming in November.
