Topic: Printer shopping

I got a pretty generous tax return this year so I'm going to look at purchasing a new printer. I'm going to grab one that will print larger photos up to 13x9.

There are 3 different printers I am considering right now; two that are currently on the market and one that is on the way. They are:

Canon S9000
Canon i9100 (not out yet)
Epson 2200

I've read mixed reviews on both the Canon and the Epson but some of those opinions I hesitate to put much stock in. Have any of you had experience with either of these printers? I have a Canon now (the S800) and I love the quality it puts out but I've read that the S9000 doesn't match that.

Anyone had experience with either of these?

dont have any experience with those particular ones, but I have epson stylus c80, and after about a year (or a bit less) on of the head's holes (forget the technical names for it, but its in the head, no the cartridge) stopped pouring any ink on the paper, and now whatever picture I print, if there's any blue in it I get horisontal lines every centimeter or so. Annoying. But in general, I only hear good things about epson. Try canon though. I'd get a canon.
