Wow, I haven't seen one of those in several years.

Great detail in that shot.

BTW, I wonder how it got its name

Yes, it's a caterpillar but it's name is "Tomato Horn Worm." Just like a horny toad isn't really a toad it's a lizard.

I have a bigger resolution but didn't load it yet. I didn't want to load a big one for dialup users to see.

Thanks for the comments

'Tis beautiful. At first I thought you had added a pair of eyes to it! But I realize now that's part of the wee beastie. A lovely photograph too. I was lucky enough to catch a busy Bumble Bee last week too.

Great photo !

bee and stuff

There's several close ups of bees and a butterfly on my page link. The bee has pollen all over him. I love doing macro pics !

Thanks That has been a popular photo and helped my print sales !

I dipped the slice in water and kept taking macro shots until I got the shot I wanted. I took about 25 or so photos and only got maybe 2 good ones.

I love insects and junk like that. I also liked the hoppy-hopper you posted elsewhere. We just don't see bugs like that in KC.
