I found a old country store with a one room log cabin on one side of it and a one room log post office on the other side. The guy opened them up for me to go through. They sit just as they did many years ago when his great-grand father owned them. Everything sits in it's place...old tin cars and tin santas and trains...bags of meal from the old mill...clorox in old brown bottles...candy's and of course, Coca Cola Their cat even comes in to lay next to the cash register I took a lot of pictures but this is one of my favorites.

Heyllo.

Very neat little place. I used to see alot of similar things in West Virginia around my great grandmas area.. houses were simply untouched left to decay when the residents died off.

Suspicious that the one side of checkers is all in a straight line.. ?? Why is that the coke sign is tinted red while everything else is monochromaticish. Did you do that, or was nothing else in the room that saturated of a red or other bright color?

edit: clarification

I did the tone and left the old coke sign it's color. I just like doing that with some of my photography.

There was a game of checkers being played and one side was set back up and one wasn't yet. I had to get a beautiful calico cat off the table before I could do that photo.

It's just a amazing feeling being in that old store.

Gorgeous, I love finding places like that, full of history.
I did a bit of "zooming around", does that say "Speilburg Gum" on one of the wooden crates on the right?

I'm not doubting that the country store is genuine, it just looks like one of the sets Mr Speilburg would create for one of his ""period" drama films it looks so good. I like the effect you use with selective colourising, I'll have to try that myself.
