I'm a bit concerned with noise, as cramming a lot of pixels on a tiny sensor has historically lead to lots and lots of noise, even at low ISO. Be interesting to see how Sony has dealt with the issue. As a side-note, Canon is releasing a "10D light" in the same price bracket. Full digital SLR, only slightly fewer features than the hugely popular 10D. $900 with no lens, or $1000 with a basic lens included. The competition should be interesting, as many people who are looking for a very high-end P&S would be intrigued by a digital SLR for roughly the same price.
