No, these should not be photos of one of our esteemed members. Let's see those creepy crawlies. (Spiders and such are OK here...)

So break out those macro lenses....

A few guidelines:
1. Photo needs to go along with the subject in some way.
2. Use thumbnails for photos with any dimension larger than 450 px or over 40 kb.
3. Post as many as you want.
4. At the end of the week the person who chose the topic will pick someone to choose the next topic. This isn't a "winner," just someone who gets to suggest the next topic.
5. No critiques (unless requested) this is just to share our photos.
6. No sigs.

Aw, dang. I've been recently getting into the whole digital photography thing, and semi-conveniently, my windows have been overrun by flies, (seriously, hundreds, I've been trying to vacuum them up for 3 days!) but no macro lenses.. Can't get any pictures detailed enough to warrant posting. Ah well, next time maybe. :

I started looking on my window sill for flies...is it just natural reflex? lol.

I'll see what I can do for this one.

I am still trying to figure out macro on my camera.... I think I can still call it a camera... Its more of a toy compared to what some of you use.

Latest SlicePuzzle, "Blending In"
This is honestly not meant as a shameless plug. It's just that I really loved this moth and I'm not able to upload any photos right now so this is the closest I have online for this topic. I've got some others I can get up there later.

D-60, an old first generation 28-80 macro zoom canon EF lens (the autofocus is worthless these days), one or more close up filters (hoya) and off camera flash. The shots w/black backgrounds were night time shots, sometimes using a white reflector. That can be faked with a piece of black velvet and natural light though, assuming the critter will hold still.
