Topic: that annoying squeel from the front brakes of a car (story and pics inside) (Page 1 of 1)

well i was on my way to work this morning .. and stopped at a stop sign... just as i started to take off .. i lifted my foot from the brake and started to release the clutch .. and i heard it ... "Meeeaaaak" ... wasn't sure what it was so i put on the flashers to check and see...

i walk around my car .. not seeing anything unusual... so i start to get back in the car... and then i hear it again "Meeeaaak"

i walk over to the pass side of my car and look under it ... just as i get back up i catch a glimpse of something inside my front wheel ...

a cat! .. a freakin cat climbed up into my wheel and was between the rim and the rotor ... great! .. heh now i am goin to be late to work for sure ... i get to the back of my car and get the jack out ... while dialing on my cell phone to wake my wife up and get her up there .. (only 3 blocks from my house) ...

while i am jacking up the car one of my friends (the city dog catcher) drive by and stops thinking i have a flat .. when he gets up there i start laughing ... he can't figure out why till i point at it ...

the cat was trying to swat at me through the openings in the rim ...

about that time my wife shows up and we have the car up off the ground enough that she reaches back in there and pulls him free...

this guy is maybe 4 to 5 weeks old at the most ... some idiot ditched it at the intersection i am guessing ... oh well ...

You an your wife got a heart of gold Go kitty! Amazing that it didn't get flattened/shredded/mutilated in there. We had some mice under our car hood once... Really funny to watch the thing go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth... tryin to figure out which way to run.

yeah Roady is settling in just fine .. he has already shown my two Daschunds who the boss is ... and put our other cat in its place .. so he fits into the family just great ...

writing up an editorial for the paper i work at tho about the experience .. and fussing about people ditching them like that ... doubt it will do any good .. but still goin to do it ...
