Hi was wondering whats the best way to photograph a stained-glass window at night (hence light shining through window) tried to do this recently and *yikes* looked v.bad!

(think must need tripod - any decent way round this / anyone recommend mono-pod?)

thanks!

All depends what your exposure time is. Anything over 1/30 and you'll want a monopod if not a tripod. Your effectiveness with a monopod will depend on your ability to hold it steady. Any exposure very long and you'll definitely want a tripod.

Of course, if you're not too many stops away from 1/30, a faster film speed might help.

Thanks for the advice I will have to try it again, though I did use a fast film and was confident that it would work... maybe thats my first mistake!

cheers!
