Since the buildings aren't moving, it would be easy to match up the seams, but you can't really do anything about a car or a person on a seam, can you? Maybe a whole bunch of pictures were taken for each position, and then shots without people/cars on the seams were chosen? It still seems like it would be difficult, though.
