Topic: Learning Photography (Page 1 of 1)

I think it's been about 1 1/2 years since I started my photography interest. I really didn't get serious with it until about 6 months ago. I began to read online sites that had courses and tips. I also joined a site that challenged you each week with a topic and offered a lot of help.

Well, as of today, I am back in college taking a photography course. I'm really excited about this as I feel it will truly help me become better with the technical end of things and I'm sure the my eye will improve also. I'm hoping this will keep me busy and my mind off losing my baby sister in December. This will be a good thing

Good luck with the course Shii'. Does it cover both optical and digital?
Actually now that I've said that it sounds a bit dense...I think I've seen some of your work over on DPChallenge?

That's really a good question. He teaches film, however, his store was broken into at the end of last year and he lost a lot of his own film cameras so he went digital. He covers both but I'm taking a good Canon film camera so I learn on it. Also because one of the courses covers film/darkroom developing and you get to do that hands on which I'm very excited about.

I do have a pretty good amount of photos on DPChallenge. I was one of the first members there and have won a few ribbons there. I also sell my prints online through there for now.
