WOW.
Officially the best photograph I've ever seen on this forum.

how did u get it so nicely? did you use a panoramic camera, or stitched individual images together? Not sure it can be done using the former method at night... but still, Im really curious.

I think he didn't do it, he came across it.

EDIT: btw, captions (click the picture, visit the site and be more amazed! - reading French helps ).

What a fantastic photo! Some of those folks in Paris keep their flats lit up like day... I bet if you zoom into that shot in some places, you could see people in their homes!
It's a shame I can't read French - someone care to translate if the method was multiple photos or panorama?

As far as my French and my knowlegde about panoramic camera go, he uses both methods. For the panoramic pictures that are not that wide, he sems to be using panoramic camera (I never heard of this kind of camera before and this guy has lots of weird equipment), look at this http://www.arnaudfrichphoto.com/faq1.htm

And for the one like this Paris at Night, he may be using multiple pictures, see here http://www.arnaudfrichphoto.com/gpass_panavue.htm (ImageAssembler is the software he used for that picture).

Yeah, that looks stitched. You can see the perspective shifts between the stitched photos if you've seen enough stitched photos. Beautiful stitch from beautiful shots, though. The exposure setting makes every light blazing bright, and the white balance is set to make the whole thing golden. Art.
