It's always good to know how to make rust...besides, that could be tweaked to make sandstone.

One of the earlier steps looks like a really fine grit sandpaper too...could be usefull for something about arts and crafts or carpenting..

Hmmm ...there's rust and there's rust ....and this is rust. .... <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">
...not only is there rust ...there's badly written descriptions of how to achieve rust...this isn't one of them....good rust is complex, and time consuming to achieve, bad rust takes about 4 steps to create and usually barely resembles rust ...... some rust looks more like...well anything other than rust......
You've obviously spent many hours developing this technique...and many more tweaking it to perfection.
It stands head and shoulders above many "rust" tutorials that i have seen, not only is the effect realistic, it's well worded and presented.

Well, rust IS over used...so is the whole damaged metal theme...it becomes boring.

Cool tutorial....I think I would use it. Now give us some more.
