Running from my home, at http://www.docozone.com/forum/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi <- What d'ya think? I wince at the realization that I'd have to go through *again* and strip out all of the <font> tags they put everywhere, and let the styles control things. Also, I'd be needing to go and modify all of the form input fields, god knows what else. Do check it out, though, lemme know what you think, the posts are old but the member list is current from this morning.

The last post feature on the main page is more helpful (apologies to the hard working Mad Scientists).

Yah, but the whole damned thing is so *ugly*, it'd take me weeks to go through and trim out all of the useless stuff, if you turn an enneccessary feature "off", it still leaves the spaces where it would have gone, and I like a nice tight layout. It's the <font> tags they have throughout that truly bugs me, I prefer to handle this all through styles in one place, easier to update and change. Sigh.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the existing set up.

"If it aint broke - don't fix it." Just my opinion.

Yes, I must agree that I like what we have much better than what 6 offers. It is much uglier...

Hmm, perhaps you could copy & paste a lot of the code from this version of the forum? I dunno. Probably not, actually.

I wouldn't recommend that, Slime. Totally different in how the scripts are written. I like the 6.0 layout, for the most part. But I'd change those little sticky note icons. They stick out too much. I'd also play with that font size for the LAST TOPIC part. It looks too big comared to the other stuff.

It's cool, but, heeeemmm, liked more the old one, this like too over-charged of many stuffs!
Dunno, i prefer the old one....
The private message feature, takes out all the partnership here, we say a message to everybody, and that's it.

But the Buddies list and the ignore list is cool (such i think you should not let enybody being ignored)

It's my opinion, but if you bring this forum instead of the other, i'll use it of course!!!

BTW, Slime i added you to mi ignore list, just testing, i'll take you aout later, what that won't let me see??

And i added the Doc to my Buddies list, where is it?
Is cool to know who posted last and the last registered member i think that this is great....

I could live with the other one! even now that i'm use to this one...

Edit> Still ckecking it: the instant message can be cool, but it doens't let others what could be an intresting post...

I've got a lot of mixed feelings about it, but I don't really feel like getting into them.

Over all, I say Alpha anna Omega.

I like the new features, however it gives me a headache with all the wierd and out of place tags and functions, I am so used to this style, that it will be hard to get used to change Doc you got a lot of work to do.......God be with you.

I like it. I like this size text (currently used text size on the current forums) for the forums and topics. I would really like it if all the font sizes were the same size as the current forum. Other than that I have no problems with it. Anyways just my two cents. I would have kept the $250 for the upgrade and kept the current version if I were you.
Thanks for all your effert though.

Doc, if you ever decide to switch over to UBB6, I would suggest you to turn off member ratings (can only lead to conflicts) and private messages (that's what ICQ and e-mail are used for)...

yup. max's right.

Taking no sides in the neverending battle between Good and Evil. However, I do need more popcorn.

Edit: I'm sure you'll reformat it to something really cool & smooth, Doc. I do have some requests:

a) rework the icons or ask someone to rework them. Hell, maybe even make a competition of it if you want...

b) make some layout adjustments... as seen in pic below:
