OK, DL-44 just helped me making my FIRST window icon!
And the thing is that it showed up on my computer.
As the projectcool.com one.
As the favicon.com one.
As the bratta.com/bratta one.
Etc; etc.

But not the Asylum one!
Is it because it's not written in only lower case letters?

I've tryed to re-bookmark.
I've tryed to delete and then re-bookmark.
Though I did not know how to clear my cache - is that the 'Clear history' thing on E.6?

And I still have no idear what the Asylum icon looks like!

It's generic ubb favicon. And it probably doesn't appear, because it doesn't have the correct name or because <LINK> tag is only placed on the main page...

Anyway, this it the link to icon if you really want to see it: http://www.OzoneAsylum.com/ubbicon.ico

IMHO FAVICON is useless (especially since it will be lost after some time automatically, or when you clear internet cache manually)...

Have you got any inside info about the future of the icons?

I'd like to know as I'm into that right now!

:::::::

Added later:

<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
image1 = new Image();
image1.src="/favicon.ico";
</SCRIPT>

This script's in the favicon.com HTML-code.
What's the function?

Could I use it without asking favicon.com - is it a general known script?

I figure that this js. makes the icon pop up without bookmarking...?

Technically, you don't need to add any code, since IE *should* (sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't) automatically look for a file called "favicon.cio" located on the root of your web server.

We'll just have to wait for th IE perfection then!

LAST question mr.maX: You said IE *should*.... But IS there a way to set up a js.script that *makes* what IE cannot do? And if, where can I get it?

You can't force IE with JavaScript to look for favorite icon. Only thing that can help is to include the following: <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="/favicon.ico" ...
