Hey, I went away for the weekend, visiting with friends outside of Stockholm. So! What is it with this place, my server somehow remotely detects my absence and goes all sulky on me? Sheesh. ;-) On the plus side, I got to play a couple of games óf chess against a good opponenent, (lost the first, won the second), and played a game of Risk! (Which I won, I'm truly an evil bastard at risk, heh.) Hmm, I'm almost glad I missed the downtime, since it got fixed, phew! |

It's an absolute nightmare when I see this! I can't tell you how much I've come to love this place because when I saw this late last night, I just didn't know what to do. So I screen capped it in anticipation of sharing my horror and despair with you all. |

The spirits of the net were very angry!!! No asylum? Felt like somebody cut my hands off! Know what you mean, bugs. Just happy it's back, up and running. Kinda gives one the chills, especially if one thinks about it. What if the asylum were to go away forever? Maybe it is a warning, that we should treasure this unique place a bit more...saw a couple other threads...how sad. Having a bit of fun is one thing, and as far as I know, was always allowed here. But viscous, personal attacks? *sigh* |

Yeah, right now the Asylum takes about 100MB of storage space, and uses about 200MB of bandwidth/transfers a day. (5-6 gigs/month) A mirror would rock, but a hot-swappable version with all the file calls, that could be tough. I think maybe once we get transferred over to a true Database version this might be easier to handle, now, with the flat files, we'd have to be constantly transferring all of the files to the mirror as they were written to the server, painful! |

Great idea, Doc! A 'secondary' asylum. We could call it 'Asylum Jr.' Better to bitch there, than here. |

Damn Ini, that's a good idea. You know, we've been taking sooo much from Doc, it's time to give something back! And it would be nice to give us 'newbies' a chance to contribute. I would love to help. Count me in. |

Well, I don't feel so bad now! Except I'm prolly the only one in so. Oregon checked into the asylum and my ISP had that image in their cache for three days! |
