The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Hey, it certainly *sounds* cool, but isn't Maya one of those apps that is so expecnsive, no individual will really ever be able to afford it? Hmm, (quick search), $7500 USD for the full package, doesn't really seem like it's aimed at the mass-market, nope. It'd certainly be cool to export 3D to flash, but they need other partners, seems to me.

Your pal, -doc-

I went to one of them free macromedia seminar that they do on Wednesday and half day on Thursday, It was good, but they was really pushing director 8.5 on to us there, as with freehand and site spring. They showed us what director can do, like a 3D bike computer, 3D blanket and some 3D game intros, they where all fully interactive with buttons, sounds, dragging objects and other great things. I do think it is the next flash, but it?s a great way for a 3D modeller to get more money, if you get what I mean (You have to learn 3D programs before you even think about make things that go wow!!).

But I hate director, never liked it even after this seamier. So the people I was with at the seminar went WOW!!, when they showed this nice 3D stuff, but they never thought off the 3D modelling bit. They thought director made this 3D stuff, till the people hosting the Seminar said you have to learn a 3D modelling software first, then they thought again.

I must admit I like director for what it can do to the web now and in the near future, but I am a graphic person so I love PS too much. It is going to good in the future I think, as its going to be more of an interactive experience than just an web page. The 3D movement has taking off in some places and its great, but look at it in this way, "more complicated designs for the web go, the longer there going to take to make". As money is time, I think companies would think a bit more before going all high-tech with this 3D stuff.

I saw it, and I said "wow", but I cannot see it as the future of the web.
Oh why am I so conservative!
