http://www.haughtbk.com/ozonetourney.html <---- Tourney page finally updated.

We are just waiting for two games to be completed then we can move on to round 2.

Looks like benev has dropped out of the tourney. Would anyone like to be a replacement? Dark, how about you?

Anyone heard from adrock? Seems that game is being held up.

Looks like everyone is having fun. As round 2 starts we will be seeing folks of comparable skill 'officially' slugging it out. I know there are other side games in the works. Maybe when I have time I'll add them to the tourney page. For now, though, let's just see if the last two games can be moved along and then I'll do the official pairings for round 2.

Have fun!

Good. Now we have two options.

1- You and Doc get a game going now and Doc's game against benev will be "like it never happened". This is provided that you and Doc think you can keep a game moving along at a decent pace (not a killer pace ... just finish in about the time it might take for the other two active games to finish ... we're not talking about playing the whole game in just a day or two!)

2- Doc will take a point for the game against benev. Dark will start playing in round 2 with no points.

It's up to y'all. Go with option one, then go ahead a start a game now. Go with option two, then just hang out and wait for the 2nd round to start.

Well I would go for #2.
I don't want doc to lose credit for a game.

Turn base is up to you Doc.
I'm currently in about 4 other games, but they are going really slow.
So I can do 2-3 moves a day, but I also do many moves a day.
I just finshed 2 complete games with a friend in less than 6hrs.

Whoah, sorry about missing the discussion, I've been busy on a client gig. (Still have work to do but this is a long weekend, good old JC did something special 50 days ago, yay!) Hmm, I would like to keep the points for that game, I did earn them. I've seen tournaments won by people who entered 2 games late, they just start with no points, of course, it's possible, and there's precedence. I notice that Stan has a "make your own tourney" function, with automated rules and forfeits for delayed games, maybe we should look into that next time around?

I'm ready for the next round, though. Of the 2 games left, one looks like it may end by Sunday, and the other may last for ages with 10 days between moves and only 2 pawns captured. Perhaps for tournament play we should set the forfeit periods quicker, like 7 days?

Well, my game with Sash is over, I just resigned last night. It was a relief actually, *nothing* went right for me in that game, I was feeling a little bit desperate by move #8, and it never got any better. Great game Sash! You impressed the hell out of me, it seemed you didn't fall for any of the usual ploys I use on others, (bummer, that ;-) Heh. So, I'm now 1-0-1!

I hope I don't end up joining you, Doc, but WJ is giving me a run for my money...too bad he plays so slowly...

I really need to watch myself, and decide when I should be responding to moves! I came near to screwing up in my game with my pal Glyn ("Grimgod", I think WS, you're playing him now?) ANYways, I finished up a very delicate and difficult price quote last night, and then quick wuick before bed I glanced at the board and then moved, after delaying for 2 days nearly. D'oh! What was I thinking? Careful Doc, careful.

Just go to moaiz'z page (linked from my tourney page at the top of this thread) and click on the 'challenge me' button. Set yourself up as playing white. Once moaiz accepts the challenge, the game will start and y'all will be off and running.

Thanks for joining in and have fun!

The challenge has been sent... let the game begin!

Hmm. It sounds so much less impressive in the singular.
