Very cool stuff.. Thanks for the post. It'd be interesting to see some of these concepts, like time travel and faster than ligth travel making it into the debates in the Philosophy forum. |

They always over estimate with this stuff. Like how everybody was saying that by the year 2000 there would be flying cars that would fold up into briefcases like on The Jetsons and half the people believed that. |

There's no such thing as a prophet, it's just a time traveller with dementia. |

BS. The fact that they even mention faster than light travel shows that they're idiots. And think about it... computers were invented in like the 60s i think, and fourty years later we have... um... smaller and faster computers? that's really not that big of an advancement. They claim we'll have "The Matrix" in 2025? Ridiculous and childish. |

I can't remember where I read this, but it was decalred as "the ultimate proof that time travel can not, and will not, ever exist." The proof was simple: You can still get concert tickets. Think about it, picture the first concert by Nirvana, or U2, or a host of others. Once they were nobodies and played to half-empty bars, but with time travel, every show would be packed by generations of rabid "retro" fans! But, you can still get tickets if you try hard enough. Ergo: no time travel. |
