I used to be an INTEL freak, but know I prefers AMD for their price/quality ratio which far better than INTEL's one. |

well if i get a new video card after i get the computer then i lose the warranty. in a year i could upgrade. Now if Gateway updates the video card on the 700S computers and it is better than my current card then all i got to do is call them and they will put in the new card for free |

I'm jelious...Anyways, I have always been an AMD fan, since they make superior chips to Intel and their cheaper/ |

I noticed the considerable difference in price between intel and AMD. I would choose AMD but since the one with the money is making the final decision we are getting a pentium. every computer this family has had, except our first one, has been custom built. |

You really don't need to upgrade for a year anyway. What kind of Pentium chip are you getting? Just wondering? |

CFB: Try reading the specs he posted up in his first post in this thread, they're all there. And in case you're thinking 'maybe celeron, if that was the case, it wouldn't be listed ans pentium, since celeron and pentium are two different chipsets. |

Thats weird...Their was a PC Magazine article about a month ago about 128 bit chips. I think that Pentium had one, I know that Intel does. |
