Preserved Topic: A white rat's sad story.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

Unfortunately there are too many profs out there like that, of which I've had my fair share, as I'm sure almost everyone has.

Just goes to show you have to be real careful who you tell what stuff to. Even if you're in the right, and something needs to be said. But it's sad to see that kind of thing happen to people who don't deserve it.

If this had been me, I would have been so discouraged I probably would have just used my talents to hack the school's files. Props to your friend on not being led to the. . .um. . .darkside? I am such a nerd

The question that remains is :
"Who is the rat in the story?"

I do not agree with the prof. He did not rate the knowledge of the guy, or the way he learns things.
He just did not like the guy, that is pretty bad teaching.
Also when knowledge is free, there would be less dangerous or scary secrets to exploit for the bad guys.
Everyone should be able to think for themselves and a good teacher or prof should be able to teach this.

I completely agree with you... However, the fact remains that there are profs like that. If a certain prof doesn't like you for whatever reason, in college particularly, they will do what they can to make you fail their course. And in the case of college profs, they can fail you just like that...

Luckily in high school it's a little diferent... I remember one teacher I had for Physics my Jr year that I will probably never forget, no matter how hard I try... The simple fact that I had already learned everything she was trying to teach us from an 8th grade physical science class made her despise me because I could (and did on occasion) sleep through the class and still make an A with little effort. She did everything that she could think of to make me fail through the whole year. Needless to say, it didn't work. It only pissed me off even more every time, such that after the first few months of it, I started to point out every single little error in all her lectures, on all the homework assignments, everything. It was great "therapy" for me, and I still made A's through the whole class

However, if I tried something like that at the univ it wouldn't last a week. Unless the teacher had some twisted sense of humor...
