Preserved Topic: Digital art competitions, know of any? (Page 1 of 1)

Well I've been searching for competitions high and low in the UK that would be ok to enter competitions with the type of work I do. There is some and they look a bit shoddy, but, as they "don't judge a book by its cover" . I found these:

britisharts.co.uk - weee back to 1996 with the colours and things, but it's the content that matters. There is some competitions info there but more of traditional media type stuff and not digital.

dandad - Nice but way to big for me I think.

commarts.com - forgot about that one

graphiccompetitions.com - A great place, but is mostly 3D competitions. I'm on there mail list (have been for months) but only the odd comp comes up.

photoworkshop.com - looks great and I'm going to enter it .

Anyone know of any more competitions a bit like the photoworkshop.com one or just in the UK? Just asking cus I'm starting to spread myself around and competitions is just another way do it . I'm still digging deep for UK only ones, but there mostly world wide, which ok but really just looking for UK only competitions.

I was familiar with the Photoworkshop one, and I've actually been trying to come up with a good concept for an entry. Clearly, creativity counts with them.

In addition to the ones you listed, NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) also does a contest, but you have to attend their conference to enter. Conference admission is a bit pricey. Apparently, it's considered prestigious to win their award for photorealism, and I have an item I'd like to enter in that contest. But perhaps next year.

Yeah thats a good ques actually because I was wondering if there are any comp's out there where you can win money or prizes. I know there are but cant seem to find any.
